    Bio

    CAPT Katrina Martinez, is currently a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at the Hampton Veterans Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. She has been a registered nurse for over 21 years. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Guam in 2002 and her Masters of Nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in 2016. She is a board certified PMHNP. CAPT Martinez served in the U.S. Air Force from 2005 to 2011 then transitioned into United States Public Health Service (USPHS) in 2011. She is currently active duty as a Captain in the USPHS. She has served many roles as a military nurse that includes Medical-Surgical, Nephrology, Family Medicine, Correctional Healthcare, Immigration Healthcare, and now Behavioral Health.

    CAPT Martinez has completed several humanitarian deployments that include interservice interoperability with the Air Force, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Border Patrol, and National Disaster Medical System. She is currently a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at EKU. Her DNP problem of interest is in Behavioral Health.

    CAPT Martinez is a native from the island of Guam and is a very patriotic officer that puts her faith in God, family, and profession as the priority in her life.
