Jessi Kauk, DNP, RN
Jessi Kauk earned her BSN from South Dakota State University, her Masters in Nursing Education from Walden University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Purdue Global University. Her nursing career spans 14 years in areas including acute care med/surg, peds/ob, and senior services. She spent 5 years in post-secondary nursing education as nursing faculty and continues to work in clinical education. She is currently a nurse educator for Ecumen, a senior services organization, and has devoted considerable attention to organizational change, specifically as it relates to trauma-informed care.
Purpose
In recognizing how trauma-informed care (TIC) impacts residents, the workforce, and the organization as a whole, leaders will be better suited to identify beginning steps toward addressing trauma-informed care implementation. Learners will be equipped with the knowledge to integrate a collective approach to trauma-informed care, embrace wellness and resiliency producing organization-wide benefits, and be empowered through actionable methods to bring TIC to life within their organizations.
