Hannah Schimmer MSN, AGACNP-BC completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University (2008). She completed her registered nurse course work and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Adult Gerontology Acute Care at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (2014). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She is an ANCC certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her primary clinical focus is cardiac critical care, and she has practiced in cardiac and cardiothoracic intensive care units. She has served as a mentor for new graduate cardiac critical care advanced practice providers. She is currently practicing in the Cardiac Care Unit at Bellevue Hospital Center in Manhattan, New York. She is working towards her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Eastern Kentucky University. She is interested in implementing evidence-based practices at the bedside. Her DNP experience is focused on organizational leadership and quality improvement in the inpatient setting.

She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and cat.
