Stephanie Fields, APRN, FNP-BC is a pulmonary nurse practitioner in central Kentucky. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing (2008) from Eastern Kentucky University and thereafter began her nursing career as a bedside nurse in the Medicine ICU at the University of Kentucky. She completed her master’s degree in nursing (2013) from Eastern Kentucky University. She is nationally board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her first nurse practitioner role was in cardiology at the University of Kentucky Gill Heart Institute. Stephanie is currently employed at Baptist Health in Richmond, KY where she cares for outpatients in a pulmonary and sleep medicine clinic. In her current role, she also facilitates the care of patients in outreach clinics in Irvine, KY and Somerset, KY. Her professional interest includes the prevention of COPD exacerbation readmissions. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Eastern Kentucky University. Stephanie resides in Richmond, KY with her husband and children. When she is not caring for pulmonary patients, she enjoys caring for plants.
