    Tyler Arvin is an emergency nurse practitioner at Baptist Health Richmond though the contract emergency service provider group Empact Midwest. He completed his BSN at Eastern Kentucky University (2011), his MSN at Western Governors University with a focus on nursing education (2017), and his post-MSN certificate at Eastern Kentucky University as a Family Nurse Practitioner (2021). He is currently enrolled at EKU in their DNP program where he plans on improving the triaging process at his facility to help improve patient flow, decrease wait times, and decrease the number of patients who leave without being seen.
    His career has primarily been in emergency medicine as a registered nurse and has experience in pediatrics, correctional nursing, and as a nurse educator. As a board certified FNP through the AANP, he started his nursing career as a primary provider before returning to emergency medicine. Currently, he is the first Advance Practice Provider with Empact Midwest to participate in their new Emergency Medicine Training for the Advanced Practitioner (EMTAP) to train new providers or those who do not have emergency provider experience. He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and as a Certified Emergency Nurse.
    He currently lives in Lexington, KY with his family and pets.
