Elizabeth Rowland MSN, RN-BC

Bio:
Elizabeth Rowland is a nursing student in the College of Health Sciences School of Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Eastern Kentucky University. She has completed a series of nursing degrees, which include; Licensed Practical Nurse in (1999) from Kentucky Central Technical College; an Associate of Science (2001) from Eastern Kentucky University; a Bachelor of Science (2014) and a Master’s of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management (2017) from Western Governors University. Throughout her nursing career, she has worked in varies areas of nursing from nursing homes as a LPN, to Heart Transplants at the University of Kentucky, to the Surgery Department at St. Joe Berea to her final passion as a Medsurg/Telemetry nurse. She is currently serving as Director of Nursing for Dialysis, Telemetry and Transport Services at Baptist Health Richmond. She is nationally board certified in Medical Surgical Nursing. Her doctoral work may focus development of the bedside patient care technician in the acute care setting. She is a member of the Sigma-Theta Tau Chapter at Eastern Kentucky University, serves on the Kentucky Nurses Association Bluegrass Chapter Board of Directors, Director at Large, and in addition serves on Professional Nursing Practice and Advocacy Cabinet.

She lives in Berea, Kentucky with her family, enjoys horseback riding and helps to run her family business.
