With sadness we share that Doctors of Nursing Practice, Inc., the Academy of Doctorally Prepared Nurses, and the Journal of the Academy of Doctorally Prepared Nurses are no longer offering continuing education services.

This is a business decision.  The cost of maintaining a provider license, along with the expense of building and maintaining a learning management system, is not adequately offset by the number of purchases of CE offered through this site.

It has been a joy and a challenge to create and post continuing education that reflects the skills and talents of past conference presenters, yet the time has come to move away from this service. We are honored that so many colleagues have directly or indirectly contributed to past continuing education service efforts.

We may reconsider this decision in the future as the Academy and the Journal evolve and develop. There may be a benefit to revising CE efforts in the future, but for now we share our angst about making this decision.

Future plans outside of CE include options that may be ideal for you, an ardent site visitor. These options include written material that benefits potential DNP students, current students, graduates, and veteran doctorally prepared colleagues. We invite you to share your thoughts on developing these options. Here’s a listing to consider:

• The best way to select and enroll in a doctoral program (DNP, PhD, EdD, etc.)
• How to make the most of your time and efforts in the program as a student
• Recognizing benefits of being a student other than the didactic and practical experiences
• Gauging the caliber of your chosen doctoral program—and how to enhance your experience
• Evolving in your career because of your doctoral education
• Networking with colleagues to continue your career trajectory
• Identifying challenges and obstacles as an experienced, doctorally prepared nursing professional
• Recommendations to current and future colleagues

We see each of these options as short booklets of information that will be made available for a nominal fee that supports the foundation for future doctorally prepared nursing growth. All doctoral degree nursing colleagues are welcomed to share thoughts, insights, and talents.
