Katherine Chike-Harris, DNP, APRN, CPNP-BC Dr. Chike-Harris graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2007 with a BSN, 2009 with a MSN (pediatric focus) and 2011 with a Masters in Nurse Education and her DNP. Her APRN practice focuses on pediatric primary care, serving the underserved populations through MUSC’s Center of Telehealth School-based telemedicine clinics part-time. Dr. Chike-Harris’ full-time role is as an assistant professor for MUSC’s College of Nursing, where she teaches in the DNP program and is currently lead faculty in the integration of telehealth education into the BS, DNP, and PhD nursing curricula. Purpose Knowledge of telehealth and its applications are becoming key in increasing access to quality healthcare. It is therefore essential that APRNs are introduced to telehealth and its convoluted and sometimes confusing procedures and regulations in order to successfully adapt this modality into their practice. The purpose of this presentation is to give faculty the tools to integrate telehealth education into their APRN curricula. This aligns well with the conference theme since those APRNs who graduate with telehealth knowledge will be equipped with the skills to integrate this healthcare modality into their practice.
