Tessa M Sandel, DNP, APRN
Tessa initially worked as a nurse in the Neuro-Trauma intensive care unit. After completion of her MSN she has worked as a nurse practitioner since 2015 in Neurosurgery, Emergency Medicine, and as a Hospitalist. She completed her DNP Spring 2023. She has a passion for patients with neurological disorders and caring for the critically ill. This project was a DNP Practice Improvement Project focusing on Post-stroke identification and treatment.
Objectives
- Have a base knowledge of the rates and complications related to post-stroke depression.
- The participant will be presented the significant findings related to implementing a depression screening protocol which has implications for future nursing practice and research.
