ParticipantAs a DNP student, I would recommend this podcast. It provides a concise explanation of the critical elements and steps involved in the DNP project. The speakers explained the importance of first identifying and describing a problem before focusing on intervention. They recommend selecting a problem by observing gaps between standards of care and actual practice. They explain that the student needs to conduct a needs analysis to ensure the organization and the student mutually agree upon the problem identified. The next step is to search the literature for evidence-based research and translate the research into practice in the project’s implementation phase. They also highlight the importance of evaluating the outcomes as well as the processes involved in the implementation. Finally, they discuss the academic dissemination of the project through an academic paper and presentation and its professional dissemination through peer -review journals and conferences.
