Request for Participation in an IRB-Approved Study for NP Faculty

Dear Nurse Practitioner faculty,

I invite you to participate in an IRB-approved research study to examine the skill acquisition of Nurse Practitioner clinical faculty. This study utilizes the Academic Clinical Nurse Educator Skill Acquisition Tool (ACNESAT) developed based on the National League for Nursing’s Academic Clinical Nurse Educator Competencies (2018).

You are eligible to participate if you have at least one year of experience teaching Nurse Practitioner students in the clinical environment and hold a master’s degree or higher in nursing. The study involves completion of a 40-item clinical nurse educator skill acquisition tool and answering 11 demographic questions. It is expected to take no more than 15-20 minutes. The information gained from this study may inform best practices for professional development initiatives to enhance clinical nursing education.
